Product Marketing Management:
Develops and builds product plans focused on innovation, important to the customer and difficult to copy.
Define each product, outline the attributes, determine the financial positioning and create merchandising strategies.
Identify product, sales and marketing opportunities.
Work directly with customers for innovation opportunities to develop coherent product and go to market strategy
Provides overall direction and guidance to the Product Managers to ensure new product launches and existing products are tracked through the life cycle process.
Merchandise mix or product blend to ensure maximum sales growth and margin contribution
Identify product opportunities, stay abreast to competitive intelligence and on top of flooring fashion trends and cutting edge opportunities
Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals.
Understands buying patterns, product sales, market trends and competitive products in each flooring product category
Develop and execute all New Product Introduction (NPI) launches into the marketplace
Business Analysis and Reporting:
Create, analyze and manage reports/status updates ongoing; communicate product performance and market trends
Lead, review and evaluate market research to define future opportunities and adjust existing plans to address market trends, fashion trends and competitive landscape
Assisting Supply Chain in:
Developing long-term supplier relationships in both: marketing and product supply.
Demand forecast process
Marketing Planning and Execution:
Develop promotional opportunities including clearance strategies.
Help manage vendor relationships and negotiate to improve competitiveness.
Develop new product decks
Planogram merchandised displays
Product set-up and dealer pricing
Development of support materials: Warranty, maintenance, installation and selling support documents
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business and/or related field
5-10 years of related experience in Product Development and Brand Strategies, New Product Introduction, Brand Sourcing, Product-launches, merchandising and operations, as it relates to the flooring industry across retail
Hands-on working knowledge of mass merchant, big box, distribution and dealer networks
Track record of personal and team achievement.
Demonstrates a sound, credible leadership style; team player with hands-on collaborative attitude
Strong analytical, strategic and consumer insight skills.
Broad knowledge of all flooring categories.
