Order Entry Specialist Qualifications:

3+ years of order entry experience.

Proficiency in order entry, data entry, and purchase order processing.

Experience with Outlook (MS Suites) and ERP systems.

Customer service, inventory management, and administrative support experience.

Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4 pm, with one shift across all teams.

Job Description

This is a unique order entry position within a custom job shop environment. The role involves submitting orders individually and requires detailed data compilation, including parts, coverings, and finishes. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential. A mechanical aptitude is highly beneficial to understand roller composition and ensure proper specifications are met.

Responsibilities

Answer and route calls, assisting customers and sales representatives in a proactive and friendly manner.

Share receptionist duties with other order entry team members.

Enter customer orders into the ERP system accurately and in a timely manner.

Create purchase orders, obtain approvals, and confirm pricing with vendors.

Follow up with vendors regarding order status.

Ensure that purchase orders and packing slips match and that all data is accurate.

Organize office and paperwork flow and oversee month-end closing.

Work closely with production to assist with order entry accuracy.

Handle very specific, tailored/customized orders.

Occasionally, visit the shop floor to discuss orders with the plant or S/R team.

Job Type & Location

This is a permanent position based out of Itasca, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
