Director Of Supplier Growth
As a member of the leadership at ChemPoint, the primary purpose of the Director Supplier Growth role is to develop strategy and provide leadership to the Supplier Development team to engage current and potential suppliers on ChemPoint's value proposition. This role will define department success and provide direction on Products and Portfolios to win business. What You Will Do: Lead the Supplier Development team to build the positioning of ChemPoint value propositions for supplier partners Sell ChemPoint (traditional and digital marketing) expertise to suppliers Oversee supplier pipeline that results in a regular stream of deals, representing additional business for ChemPoint. Leads supplier interactions to advance strategic alliances, attain new business, and leverages relationships to expand partnerships into new product lines, geographies and customer segments. Creates sales strategies and plans to effectively move opportunities forward, keeping related supplier relationship work notes up to date to minimum established standards. This includes regular documentation of supplier interaction, teleconferences, and visits. Lead in development of branding and corporate identity initiatives. Establish ChemPoint brand perception for customers and suppliers. As a member of the Executive team. works closely with Marketing & Sales to move Suppliers through the pipeline. Orchestrates Supplier interactions with others on the ChemPoint team. Holds Strategy Sessions before a Supplier visit with all involved outlining current situation, critical points to address and optimal outcome. Follows-up with team and supplier, making sure any outstanding actions items being addressed. Develop processes that allow supplier development to scale as the business scales. Coordinate with Innovation Team on new technologies and platforms to build ChemPoint product offerings to suppliers and customers. Stays abreast of industry & global trends, exhibiting versatility in developing and maintaining business relationships, and clearly and succinctly conveying ideas and concepts via all modes of communication. Possesses insight to the key-drivers in the industry and initiates action with suppliers to uncover needs & product-line opportunities in order to drive toward commitment; negotiates NDA's, contracts and Product Riders within area of responsibility. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. What You Will Need: Bachelor's degree from fully accredited four-year institution or equivalent experience is required 15+ years of experience in strategic marketing, management and direct sales, or business development or equivalent experience. Management skills and leadership qualities Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills including ability to compose content, write and edit compelling stories, presentations, draft statements of work, develop RFPs, scope of service and complex business correspondence via email or collaborative meetings Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite, with strong PowerPoint and Excel skills Demonstrated success with inspiring team members and developing buy-in Demonstrated record of developing meaningful metrics that can be used to optimize processes Proven ability to be an innovative, creative, proactive and self-directed team player who works in a fast-paced environment and meets deadlines Strong knowledge of ChemPoint products, value-added services, and industries served Knowledge of ChemPoint IT applications Pay & Benefits: The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $210,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay. Available employee benefits include health, vision, dental, and travel reimbursement.
