Job Summary
Drive operational efficiency and supply chain excellence across the University of Michigan's hospitality program. As the Director of Purchasing, you will oversee procurement, inventory management, and supplier relationships to ensure all departments have the products and resources needed to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role will focus on cost control, product quality, and operational efficiency. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred 5+ years of purchasing or supply chain leadership experience Experience managing procurement for high-volume food and beverage operations Knowledge of inventory systems and procurement software Financial analysis and cost control experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel Key Areas of Responsibility
Oversee purchasing operations for food, beverage, and operational supplies Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts and pricing Maintain inventory control systems and ordering procedures Monitor product quality and ensure timely deliveries Collaborate with culinary and operations teams on product needs Track purchasing costs and identify cost-saving opportunities Ensure compliance with company purchasing standards Lead warehouse and inventory management processes At Levy, team = family.
