Job Summary MorningStar uses social media marketing to deepen relationships with current resident‑families while also presenting our brand to broader target audiences. This role is directly responsible for managing the organic social media presence of our portfolio of senior living communities (40 in 11 states at present). Working closely with colleagues in Sales, Marketing and Life Enrichment, as well as third parties, this person will create content strategies that stimulate engagement and grow following across multiple social media platforms. This person must be passionate about creative social media marketing and cultivating relationships with the online community. Career development programs and opportunity for advancement Charitable and philanthropic opportunities Responsibilities Managing incoming content from communities for organic posting across dozens of accounts on multiple social platforms, including Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc. Help develop content strategies and create social buzz Set social media content calendar for the quarter ahead for each platform Create social media graphics and captions within brand standards Curate/publish original quality content with regular cadence on social media accounts to drive brand awareness and grow engagement, including joint creation with video production Occasionally travel to communities to capture special event content Moderate and respond to user‑generated content in line with MorningStar policy Train/mentor community teams on weekly submissions to maintain a cohesive social strategy; encourage participation with responsive and courteous helps, leveling up the quality and variety of submissions Leverage the advantages of social media promotions/contests, influencer marketing campaigns, social media audits, infographics, hashtags, memes, Facebook Live Stay current with trends in social/online culture and the senior living industry; Apply new technologies and best practices in social media Build strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, social SEO, and audience identification to grow our following While paid and boosted social campaigns are the responsibility of our digital agency, this role will work with such third‑party marketing partners as necessary Set quantifiable annual goals for each platform; define, measure, and evaluate relevant social KPIs and ROI Create monthly social media performance reports that track community submissions and key metrics against goals, shifting strategy accordingly.
