About the Role: The Paid Creative Strategy Manager sits at the intersection of growth and brand, owning the creative strategy and execution behind our paid media performance. This newly created role is responsible for developing high-converting, thumb-stopping creatives that drive measurable business results across DTC, retail, and professional advertising channels. You’ll combine creative intuition with performance data, using insights from data like CTR, CPA, ROAS, and hook rate to continuously refine and scale winning ad concepts. From UGC sourcing to concept development and testing frameworks, you’ll play a key role in shaping how Bushbalm shows up across paid social and expanding channels. This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with Growth, Brand, and external creators and freelancers to bring performance-driven creative to life. The starting salary range for this position is $75-000 - $85,000 CAD. Responsibilities: Own and drive performance-focused creative strategy and execution for paid media, optimizing for conversions, revenue, and scale Concept, script, and edit high-performing paid social video ads, with a strong focus on hooks, pacing, and conversion-driven storytelling Lead creative testing and iteration, producing multiple variations and building structured A/B testing frameworks to improve performanceAnalyze key performance metrics (CTR, CPA, ROAS, etc.) to continuously refine creative strategy and decision-making Manage and scale creative production, including UGC sourcing, creator partnerships, freelancers, and cross-functional collaboration with Brand Who You Are: 5 - 7 years of experience in performance creative, or creative strategy Strong understanding of paid media metrics (CTR, CPA, ROAS, view rate) and how creative drives performance Proven ability to develop high-converting, platform-native ad creative, with a deep understanding of what drives engagement on TikTok and Meta Experience scaling UGC and creator-led content, including sourcing, briefing, and iterating on creators Strong understanding of consumer psychology and persuasive messaging Proficient in video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut) with a performance-first mindset Skilled in using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney, etc.), including advanced prompting, to accelerate ideation, scripting, and creative output at scale Comfortable working cross-functionally with growth, brand, and external creators/freelancers Experience managing and mentoring creative team members, with the ability to give clear feedback, prioritize work, and drive high-quality output Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. PROJECT To apply for this role, please complete the following project: Bushbalm is launching a limited edition Watermelon Sugar collection (the scent of the summer), featuring the Watermelon Sugar Exfoliating Scrub (exfoliates + smooths skin) and Watermelon Sugar Ingrown Hair Oil (hydrates + helps prevent ingrown hairs and irritation). This routine is designed to help customers achieve smooth, bump-free skin (main concerns it targets: redness, irritation, bumps and ingrown hairs usually caused after hair removal). The objective of this campaign is to drive incremental summer revenue through limited edition scent innovation while increasing AOV through bundling. We are primarily looking to reach new-to-Bushbalm customers, specifically women aged 25–44 who are highly engaged with body care, grooming, and self-care routines, and are motivated to feel smooth, confident, and summer-ready. The goal is to position Bushbalm as a go-to solution for pre- and post-hair removal care, helping customers prevent ingrowns, reduce irritation, and maintain smooth skin all summer long (not to mention boost that confidence in your bikini!). Your task is to create a paid creative strategy and execution plan for this launch. This should include: A creative strategy brief outlining your core value proposition for the bundle (why both products vs. one), key messaging angles you would test, relevant audience insights (motivations, pain points, and behaviors), and how you would position this as an essential bikini season routine. 3–5 paid social ad concepts (TikTok/Meta-first), each built around a distinct creative angle tied to a specific audience and motivation. Include the hook (first 1–3 seconds), script or content flow, visual direction (UGC, demo, testimonial, routine, etc.), call-to-action with a bundle focus, and rationale for why each concept will perform. A creative testing plan, outlining what variables you would test (hooks, creators, messaging, bundle framing, formats, etc.), an example of how you would version one concept, and how you would define and identify a winning creative. A content sourcing approach, including the types of creators you would work with (e.g., relatable UGC, experts, diverse bodies/skin types, niche communities) and how you would brief them to deliver high-performing, conversion-focused content. Submit one fully edited video ad (15–30 seconds) or include visual references/mockups to support your concepts. We’re looking for candidates who demonstrate strong performance, creative thinking, the ability to connect strategy to execution to results, and ideas that feel native, scalable, and differentiated in a crowded social landscape.
