Senior Communications Specialist Job Location: US-IL-Scott AFB The Senior Communication Specialist is a strategic role responsible for advising the development, implementation, and evaluation of communication strategies that align with the organizational brand and business objectives. This role involves developing and executing communication strategies, managing client relationships, and leading public relations campaigns to enhance an organization’s brand and messaging. The Senior Communication Specialist collaborates with executive leadership, stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams to ensure effective change implementation. This position requires exceptional communication and analytical skills to drive successful organizational changes. *Although primarily remote, the individual must live within a 50‑mile radius of Scott AFB, IL as you will be required on‑site monthly. Responsibilities Serve as a key representative, aligning with organizational priorities through effective communication and relationship management to ensure superior service delivery and positive customer connection Understand client needs and preferences, addressing concerns promptly to enhance customer experience and expand service offerings Develop compelling storytelling and editorial direction for communication artifacts ensuring consistency in messaging Use visual storytelling techniques to communicate complex changes in an accessible way, helping stakeholders adopt new processes and transition smoothly to the future state Craft and refine messages to align with the organization’s brand and strategic goals, ensuring communications are clear, concise, and engaging for stakeholders Collaborate with OCM specialists, graphic designers, and the client to create content that aligns with OCM assessments and stakeholder management insights Supervise the design and creation of graphics, digital media, and visual content for change effort communications across a diversity of formats (e.g., briefings, newsletters, flyers, posters, fact sheets, websites, social media, news and announcements, trifolds, and branding materials) Develop and implement social media strategies for clients to increase engagement and reach among stakeholders, coordinating with web designers, and content creators Monitor social media trends, respond to stakeholder inquiries, and ensure consistent messaging across all digital communication channels Leads the refinement of a seamless customer experience across all communication touchpoints, such as conference content, briefings, and social media Ensure all communication materials adhere to copyright regulations, brand guidelines, and organizational values Develop comprehensive communication strategies and engagement plans to support the client program Define clear communication goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts Track and analyze communication effectiveness using metrics such as audience reach, engagement, and sentiment analysis to inform adjustments to strategies and tactics Work closely with program offices, graphic designers, and other communication teams to ensure consistent and coordinated messaging across all communication channels Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field At least 7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or related fields, with a strong track record of leading communication initiatives Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to convey the purpose and benefits of change, as well as to engage and influence stakeholders effectively Understanding of OCM theories and models (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter’s 8‑step Model, Lewin’s Change Management Model) Expertise in visual storytelling, graphic design, and the creation of digital media Advanced proficiency in communication tools, social media platforms, and content management systems U.S. Citizenship Eligible for Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications Advanced certification in Communications, Public Relations, or equivalent fields is a plus Additional certifications in leadership or strategic communication are advantageous Federal Consulting Experience Preferred Graphic Design and/or Web Design Experience Perks of working at NetImpact Strategies Health & Benefits – Comprehensive medical, dental, & vision insurance that starts the first of the month after you join the team 401(k) – Immediately vested employer contributions; no matching required PTO – Generous paid time off policy, one additional day of paid wellness leave per calendar year, and observe ten federal holidays Pet Insurance – Pawsitively pawesome for your little critters Education – Tuition reimbursement, internal training programs, & company‑sponsored industry certifications Recognition – Ranked by The Washington Post as a Top Work Place in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, & 2024 Culture – Team building, community volunteering, quarterly HQ days, wellness events, happy hours, family fun events, and more #J-18808-Ljbffr
