Organization Overview
Groveland Emergency Food Shelf plays a vital role in supporting neighbors experiencing food insecurity. The organization is seeking a qualified individual or small team to redesign its website to better serve guests, volunteers, and supporters.
Project Overview Groveland Emergency Food Shelf is requesting proposals for a website redesign that improves usability, accessibility, and overall engagement. The updated website should clearly communicate the organization’s mission and impact while making it easier for users to access resources, volunteer, and contribute.
The selected partner will be responsible for proposing and implementing a modern, user-friendly website experience. The current site is built on Wix; proposals may continue on Wix or recommend an alternative platform if there is a clear benefit.
Project Goals The redesigned website should:
Improve navigation and user experience for key audiences (guests, volunteers, donors)
Clearly communicate the organization’s mission, services, and impact
Streamline volunteer sign-up and engagement
Enable staff to easily update and maintain content
Follow accessibility and mobile-friendly design best practices
Requested Scope of Work Proposals should outline how the following areas will be approached:
Design & User Experience
Modern, accessible, mobile-friendly design
Clear navigation and intuitive site structure
Recommendations for improving user journeys
Content & Structure
Suggested sitemap and page structure
Approach to organizing content for different audiences
Recommendations for storytelling (e.g., guest stories, visuals, impact highlights)
Functionality
Volunteer coordination integration (currently using SignUpGenius)
Donation information and/or integration
News or updates section
FAQ or resource hub
Analytics & Reporting
Recommended tools for tracking website performance
Approach to reporting and staff access to data
Content Management & Training
Strategy for enabling easy updates by staff (e.g., stories, photos, FAQs, volunteer info)
Plan for training staff following launch
Deliverables Proposals should include:
Overview of recommended approach and strategy
Example sitemap and/or wireframe concepts (if available)
Description of design and development process
Estimated timeline (anticipated range: 6–8 weeks)
Cost estimate
Budget Note: The anticipated budget for this project is approximately $7,000. As a nonprofit organization, Groveland Emergency Food Shelf aims to offer fair and equitable compensation while remaining mindful of budget limitations. Proposals from independent designers or small teams are especially encouraged.
