Roles & Responsibilities
Attorney will represent clients in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
Attorney will prepare for and participate in trials and arbitration hearings with the assigned Partner.
Attorney will be responsible for drafting written discovery, deficiency notices, subpoenas, and assisting the legal team to respond to discovery served on clients.
Attorney will assist in review of documents produced in response to discovery.
Attorney will collaborate with the briefing team to conduct legal research and writing. Familiarity with applicable laws, precedent, and relevant authorities related to the specific claims and defenses at issue in each case is required.
Drafting Legal Documents: Attorney will prepare or assist in the preparation of legal pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other required documents.
Attorney will engage in settlement negotiations, participate in mediation, and attend formal/informal settlement conferences.
Attorney will assist the team in the proactive management of docket of active/settled cases.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active bar membership in good standing
5-7 years of litigation experience on either side of the docket – NO WAGE/HOUR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO APPLY
Significant experience handling depositions and in-court advocacy at hearings
Some experience handling evidentiary and legal arguments as well as direct- and cross‑examination of witnesses at trial
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle complex legal issues with precision and professionalism
High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Proficient in legal research tools and litigation software
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with trial preparation and presentation and with managing high‑stakes litigation
Proven ability to lead and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff
