Specific Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, reliable, and organized Data Entry Specialist – Manufacturing Orders to join our team. This role is responsible for creating, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy of all Manufacturing Orders (MOs) within Microsoft Dynamics GP. You will work closely with the Sales Order Processing (SOP) team to ensure alignment between customer demand and production execution, helping maintain clean and reliable system data that supports scheduling, manufacturing, and reporting. This position goes beyond basic data entry. The right candidate will play a critical role in ensuring production operations run smoothly by maintaining accurate records, identifying discrepancies, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. Key Accountabilities Manufacturing Order Creation & Execution
Create and manage Manufacturing Orders in Microsoft Dynamics GP based on demand from the SOP team
Ensure accurate item numbers, quantities, bills of materials (BOMs), and routings are applied
Release Manufacturing Orders in alignment with production scheduling priorities
Maintain alignment between Sales Orders and Manufacturing Orders
Communicate discrepancies or missing information to appropriate teams
Coordination & System Accuracy
Update Manufacturing Orders for changes in quantities, cancellations, or scheduling adjustments
Ensure order statuses accurately reflect production progress
Monitor and correct errors in BOMs, routings, and order links
Close completed Manufacturing Orders in a timely and accurate manner
Maintain clean, reliable system data to support operations
SOP Coordination & Demand Alignment
Partner closely with the SOP team to ensure Sales Orders are properly translated into Manufacturing Orders
Identify and resolve gaps between sales demand and production orders
Support communication between sales, scheduling, and production teams
Ensure alignment between what is sold and what is produced
Data Quality & Continuous Improvement
Identify recurring errors or inefficiencies in order creation and maintenance
Support improvements to processes, templates, and system usage
Maintain consistency in data entry standards and naming conventions
Contribute to improving accuracy and scalability of data processes
Administrative & Operational Support
Assist with data cleanup, audits, and reporting as needed
Support internal teams with system-related questions
Escalate system or process issues that impact workflow
Ensure support tasks are completed efficiently without creating bottlenecks
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or a related field is a plus
Experience in data entry, manufacturing operations, or ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred)
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business systems
Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks
Preferred
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
Familiarity with Sales Order Processing (SOP) workflows
Experience maintaining or working with Manufacturing Orders, BOMs, or routings
Experience identifying and improving operational or data processes
