Marketing Manager

Insight Glass - Windows and Doors Experts in Bay Area, Fremont, CA, United States

Insight Glass

is a 37-year-old window and door company serving the greater San Francisco Bay Area. We are launching a new residential replacement division with a dedicated Fremont showroom — and we need a Marketing Manager who can build the marketing function from the ground up.

This is a

hands-on, full-spectrum marketing role . You will plan and execute across both digital and traditional channels — managing Google Ads and direct mail campaigns with equal confidence. You own the advertising budget, lead generation strategy, brand presence, and marketing ROI for a new division backed by nearly four decades of commercial reputation.

You are not inheriting a playbook. You are

writing it . The right candidate has done this before in home improvement or a closely related industry, understands how to reach homeowners through every channel available, and uses AI tools daily to work faster and smarter. If you know what it takes to fill a residential sales pipeline and can prove the ROI on every dollar spent — this is your seat.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN Digital Marketing & Paid Advertising

Plan, execute, and optimize paid campaigns across Google Ads (Search and Local Services Ads), Facebook/Meta, Instagram, and YouTube

Manage lead aggregator relationships (Angi, HomeAdvisor, Thumbtack) and evaluate cost-per-acquisition against other channels

Own A/B testing, audience targeting, creative development, and landing page performance

Manage the advertising budget — allocating spend across channels based on performance data, scaling what works, and cutting what doesn’t

Traditional Marketing & Local Outreach

Plan and execute Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) campaigns targeting homeowners in the service area — from design through delivery and response tracking

Manage local print advertising, community sponsorships, and neighborhood-level marketing (Nextdoor, local events, HOA outreach)

Develop and maintain the Fremont showroom as a marketing asset — signage, displays, promotional materials, and walk-in experience

Build referral and repeat-customer programs that generate word-of-mouth leads alongside paid channels

SEO, Reviews & Digital Presence

Coordinate with the SEO specialist to drive organic search rankings, local SEO performance, and website content strategy

Own the review generation strategy across Google, Yelp, and other platforms — building the online reputation that drives conversion

Manage Google Business Profile, website updates, landing pages, and all public-facing digital assets

Attribution, Reporting & Budget Management

Build and maintain marketing dashboards that track the full funnel — from ad impression to lead to signed contract to revenue

Report on cost-per-lead, cost-per-acquisition, and marketing ROI by channel — tying every marketing dollar to actual revenue, not vanity metrics

Provide regular reporting to leadership on marketing performance, budget utilization, and recommendations for spend reallocation

Content & Brand

Develop marketing content across all formats — website copy, ad creative, email campaigns, social media, direct mail design, homeowner education materials, and sales collateral

Coordinate with external designers, printers, and vendors as needed while maintaining brand consistency across every touchpoint

AI FLUENCY — NON-NEGOTIABLE We run AI-powered workflows across quoting, CRM, reporting, and communications. You don’t need to be a developer — but you need to be

genuinely comfortable

using tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and emerging AI platforms to draft content, analyze campaign data, generate creative variations, automate reporting, and build marketing tools. We expect this role to use AI as a daily multiplier — not an occasional novelty. Candidates who have not adopted AI into their daily work will not be competitive here.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

3+ years of hands‑on digital marketing experience

with direct responsibility for managing paid advertising budgets across Google Ads, Facebook/Meta, and local platforms. You have optimized campaigns to hit cost‑per‑acquisition targets and can speak to specific results you’ve driven.

Experience planning and executing traditional marketing campaigns

— direct mail (EDDM), local print, community events, signage, or similar offline channels. You understand that not every homeowner finds their contractor through Google.

Industry background in home improvement, construction, or local home services.

You understand the residential sales cycle — generating leads for in‑home consultations, nurturing homeowners through the decision process, and tracking from first touch to closed deal.

Demonstrated AI fluency.

You actively use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) for content creation, data analysis, campaign optimization, and reporting automation — and can show specific examples of how AI has improved your output.

Strong analytical skills.

You think in terms of cost‑per‑lead, close rate, average job size, and marketing ROI — not impressions and clicks. You build dashboards, run attribution analysis, and use data to allocate budget and prioritize channels.

SEO and local search knowledge.

You understand Google Business Profile optimization, local SEO strategy, review management, and how organic and paid channels work together to fill a pipeline.

Content creation ability.

You can write compelling ad copy, email campaigns, direct mail pieces, website content, and social media posts — or effectively manage the vendors and freelancers who do.

Comfort building from scratch.

You’re not maintaining someone else’s marketing program. You’re building one — choosing channels, testing messages, setting up tracking, and iterating based on results. You thrive in that environment.

BONUS POINTS

Experience with lead aggregator platforms (Angi, HomeAdvisor, Thumbtack) and understanding their unit economics

Familiarity with window and door manufacturers (Andersen, Milgard, AMSCO) or residential replacement sales cycles

Knowledge of federal energy tax credit programs (IRA) applicable to residential window and door replacement — and how to use them as a marketing angle

Video production skills or experience managing video content for social media, YouTube, or homeowner testimonials

Experience with CRM‑integrated marketing (Intuit Enterprise Suite, JobNimbus, MarketSharp, HubSpot, or similar platforms)

Prior experience building a marketing function from scratch for a new business, division, or location
