This is a high impact role within the Finance organization, offering the opportunity to partner closely with cross functional leaders and play a key role in strengthening our internal control environment and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP. This role will focus on SOX compliance, technical accounting research and documentation of complex accounting matters. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting and internal controls, a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, and experience supporting and documenting complex operational areas in a dynamic manufacturing environment, including via memos, supporting schedules/models, sensitivity analysis, etc.**The Opportunity to Make a Difference*** Lead the development, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of SOX-compliant internal controls across R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and Process Development finance related activities.* Partner with operational leader to evaluate the financial impact of new business initiatives, systems, or process changes.* Provide technical accounting support and documentation for areas such as cost accounting, inventory valuation, reserves, manufacturing variances, research collaborations, clinical development, and capital project expenditures.* Research and interpret U.S. GAAP guidance for complex and non-routine transactions.* Draft and maintain technical accounting memos, support schedules/models, sensitivity analysis, etc. that support the Company’s accounting positions.* Provide accounting guidance on contracts, including manufacturing agreements, research and clinical agreements, inventory agreements, and the identification and accounting of ASC 842 leases embedded in these contracts.* Drive the creation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures to support compliance, operational readiness, and audit preparedness.* Identify potential control deficiencies, lead remediation efforts and documentation, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in financial compliance.* Monitor updates to accounting standards and assess their implications for manufacturing and technical operations.**More about You*** Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred.* Four (4) to Seven (7) years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, internal controls, preferably with exposure to manufacturing or life sciences industries. Sarepta is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges.
