CLA, one of the nation’s largest professional service firms, is currently seeking a Business Valuation Manager or Director to join our rapidly growing VFLI team – Valuation, Forensic, Litigation, and Investigations.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a key contributor on business and intangible asset valuations for financial reporting, tax reporting, transactions, strategic planning, and other purposes.

Apply valuation expertise to business enterprises, intellectual property, intangible assets, common and preferred stock, and complex securities (including debt instruments, options, warrants, and other embedded derivatives).

Support clients with financial reporting, business/management planning, mergers & acquisitions, gift & estate tax reporting, tax planning & restructuring, litigation and dispute support, and strategic planning.

Collaborate with forensic, litigation, investigative, assurance, and tax teams to provide valuation support.

Bring new ideas for process improvement and contribute to automation tool development.

Participate in diverse assignments such as economic damages, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and white‑collar crime defense teams.

Build client and referral relationships while providing valuation and consulting services.

Mentor associates and senior associates, supervising financial analysis, complex financial and transactional modeling, and income, market, and cost/asset approach analyses.

Review valuation reports and analyses prepared by CLA’s valuation team or external firms.

Maintain oversight of projects and teams, resolving valuation issues for clients.

Requirements / Qualifications

5+ years of experience in valuation or a similar consulting practice/function serving clients.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Relevant designation such as ABV, ASA, CVA, or equivalent.

Compensation

California: $124,000.00 – $229,000.00

Massachusetts: $124,100.00 – $202,000.00

Minnesota: $105,600.00 – $181,000.00

Washington: $114,800.00 – $195,000.00

New York: $138,000.00 – $209,000.00
