Director, Private Label
The Director of Private Label is responsible for developing the company's strategy to deliver a highly curated and differentiated line of own-brand Private Label products across all product categories and departments (Fresh and Center Store). The Director will partner closely with all category owners and sales leaders to fulfill key assortment needs and deploy various branded product strategies to support category growth and strategy while fulfilling customer needs. This collaborative leader will work closely with R&D, the category team's, sourcing and replenishment and marketing on product and brand development and the 360-implementation lifecycle. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Private Label Development by working collaboratively with category owners and sales leaders, developing a proprietary and differentiated private label program that is unique to Northgate and builds brand equity, sales and Work closely with category owners to develop products that fulfill key category roles for value, price position, uniqueness, quality and Partners with Category Management, Sourcing and Replenishment to ensure vendor sourcing and selection meets our requirements for quality, costs, service level and consistency. Develops, delivers and manages annual and quarterly product goals including but not limited to product development, sales and sales penetration, gross margin and other KPI' Partnering with quality control ensuring that all private label items consistently deliver against our defined quality and AMFE standards. Acts as the Committee Leader for Private Label development, assessment and approval and ensures committee governance is defined and adhered to with the greater organization. Partners with Marketing develop well-established and defined branding associated with product and packaging representation and consumer go-to market strategies. Collaborates highly within the organization(support center and store-wide) to ensure solid understanding and regular communication of performance vs. stated company goals. Position Requirements and Conditions: Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 5 years Hispanic Retail or related experience Experience in private label development is preferred Knowledge of Hispanic consumer behaviors and preferences Purchasing, sales and marketing experience is required Special consideration is given to applicants who have completed the WAFC Retail Management Certificate Program (RMCP).
