Duration: 3-Month Contract
We are looking for a
passionate and detail-oriented Color Designer
to join the
NSW Women’s Apparel Color Design team
on a short-term contract. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative design environment and has a strong eye for color, trends, and storytelling.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with Apparel Design, Graphics, Print, Product Management, Merchandising, and Development teams to deliver cohesive seasonal color direction
Create original color palettes, narratives, and seasonal refreshes for existing products under design leadership guidance
Review samples, troubleshoot color execution issues, and ensure accuracy from concept to production
Conduct in-depth research across sport, fashion, art, and culture to influence color decisions
Support cross-functional teams with color expertise as needed
Help prepare and present seasonal color stories to internal and external stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
1–3 years of experience in
color design or apparel design
Strong understanding of
color technology, materials, dyes, finishes, and color achievability
Ability to apply seasonal trends to products through thoughtful use of color and materials
Experience creating and communicating design intent through
mood boards and CADs
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication skills (both visual and verbal) in cross-functional environments
Passion for trend research and interpreting cultural and consumer insights
Technical Skills
High proficiency in
Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Keynote
Preferred
Prior experience working with the client brand
