About the Team
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you’ll be the front-line driver of growth for FINNY. Your mission is to identify, engage, and qualify high-potential prospects, set meaningful meetings, and hand off qualified leads to the Account Executive team. You’ll work closely with sales, marketing, and product to refine messaging, learn from early engagements, and help build a data-driven pipeline that accelerates revenue growth.
What You’ll Do
Prospect into target segments: financial advisors spanning RIAs, BDs, and IBDs.
Use a combination of outbound tactics (cold calls, email sequences, LinkedIn outreach) and inbound qualification to generate and manage pipeline.
Research target firms and individuals to prioritize outbound sequences accordingly.
Qualify lead opportunities using criteria such as firm size, AUM, advisor profile, pain points, and readiness to engage.
Schedule qualified meetings with senior decision-makers (e.g., Head of Advisory, Chief Growth Officer, Business Development lead) for internal Account Executives.
Collaborate with marketing to provide feedback on messaging, content performance, and ideal customer profile (ICP) refinement.
Maintain accurate activity and pipeline records in the CRM.
Hit and exceed monthly/quarterly lead-generation and meeting-setting targets.
Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and advisor growth strategies to sharpen FINNY’s value proposition and positioning.
What We’re Looking For
1–3 years of experience in B2B sales or business development (preferably in fintech, SaaS, or advisory services).
Strong hunter mindset — you enjoy owning outreach, initiating contact, building rapport, and navigating into decision-makers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to craft persuasive messaging tailored to financial firms and advisors.
Comfortable with prospecting tools, CRM systems (e.g., Attio, HubSpot, Outreach.io), LinkedIn Navigator, and other digital sales tools.
Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced startup environment.
Basic understanding of the financial advisory market, advisors’ growth challenges, and value propositions is a plus.
Highly organized with strong follow‑up discipline and pipeline hygiene.
Experience selling into financial advisors, RIAs, or wealth management firms.
Familiarity with lead‑generation technology or platforms used by advisors.
Track record of exceeding meeting‑set or opportunity‑generation quotas.
Experience using data and insights to personalize outreach.
Ability to articulate a product’s value proposition to C‑level or senior leadership in financial services.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
