At HECO, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals, build valuable technical knowledge, and contribute to a results-driven team that operates on five core values: Do it the right way Get it done Business Development Representative – Job Description Key Responsibilities Proactively grow and manage your assigned territory by identifying and developing new business opportunities across HECO’s full range of services and products Build long-term relationships with target accounts through regular on-site visits and consistent engagement Connect with key decision-makers including purchasing, maintenance, engineering, and operations teams Identify opportunities for repair services, equipment sales, maintenance programs, and reliability solutions Support and coordinate communication between HECO teams and customers throughout the quoting and project lifecycle, ensuring timely follow-up and clear expectations Conduct on-site evaluations of equipment issues, including inspecting failed motors, gathering measurements, and documenting findings for internal teams Recognize potential root causes of equipment failures and recommend additional HECO solutions Partner with customer service teams on pricing and lead times, while effectively positioning HECO’s value against competitors Stay informed on customer projects, budgets, and upcoming needs to proactively identify opportunities Deliver proposals, close business, and manage follow-through to ensure successful project execution Participate in weekly sales meetings, planning sessions, and ongoing training initiatives Consistently meet or exceed established sales targets Contribute to marketing efforts, including sharing industry insights or supporting content creation Represent HECO with professionalism and align all work with company core values Communicate HECO’s value proposition clearly through meetings, presentations, and day-to-day interactions Be flexible and available for occasional after-hours or weekend support as needed Participate in on-call rotations and remain accessible during assigned times Assist with resolving outstanding customer invoices when necessary Ensure all job updates, order statuses, and logistics communication are coordinated through HECO’s customer service team Keep CRM data, schedules, and expense reporting accurate and up to date Coordinate customer visits to HECO facilities with management Provide support on additional projects or initiatives where your experience can add value Why Join HECO?
