
Medical Collections Specialist

Collector The Collector performs A/R collections and billing involving multiple insurance contracts & entities. Analyzes and audits accounts for correct balance, proper follow-up and complete reimbursement. Monitors collection issues and resolves with payor. Processes phone, online and paper inquiries and correspondence taking appropriate collection actions that may include: working rejections/denials, calling for status, tracer claims and rebilling. Identifies misapplied payments and requests payments, adjustments/transfers or refunds. Required: HS Diploma, hospital collector experience requested.
Collections medical, healthcare reimbursement, collections accounts receivable.
2+ years experience with Professional collections and payer collections/billing experience EPIC experience preferred but not required.
Intermediate Level.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Bernardino, CA.
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
