Director Of Mathematics
The Director of Mathematics serves as the network-wide instructional leader responsible for driving mathematics achievement across all campuses. This leader develops, implements, and monitors a comprehensive K12 mathematics strategy to ensure scholars demonstrate strong conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and problem-solving skills aligned to grade-level standards and college readiness expectations. The Director of Mathematics ensures coherence in math curriculum, assessment, intervention, and instructional rigor across grade bands. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Mathematics Strategy And Framework Development Design and refine a vertically aligned K12 mathematics framework. Establish clear proficiency and growth benchmarks across grade levels. Ensure curriculum alignment to standards and assessment expectations. Define instructional expectations for rigor, discourse, and conceptual understanding. Strengthen vertical progression from foundational math skills to advanced coursework. Data And Performance Oversight Analyze network-wide mathematics data including benchmarks and state assessments. Identify subgroup performance gaps and grade-level trends. Develop targeted improvement plans to increase proficiency and growth. Monitor intervention and acceleration systems. Provide regular mathematics performance reports to senior leadership. Coaching And Leader Development Coach Academic Deans and campus instructional leaders in mathematics strategy. Lead math-focused professional development across campuses. Conduct instructional audits focused on rigor and conceptual mastery. Support onboarding and development of math teachers and department leads. Intervention And Acceleration Systems Oversee Tier 2 and Tier 3 math intervention frameworks. Ensure consistent implementation of math support systems. Strengthen small-group and tutoring programs. Develop pathways for advanced coursework and acceleration. Organizational Collaboration Partner with the Managing Director of Academics to align math strategy with network goals. Collaborate with literacy and humanities leaders to support cross-disciplinary alignment. Support recruitment and development of high-performing math educators. Accountability Network-wide mathematics proficiency rates Growth metrics Reduction in achievement gaps Effectiveness of math intervention systems Instructional consistency and rigor across campuses Qualifications & Requirements
Master's Degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field required 58+ years of mathematics instructional leadership experience Demonstrated success improving math achievement Strong data analysis and systems leadership skills Experience coaching educators across multiple grade levels Equal Opportunities Employer
