We are searching for a skilled and talented Food & Beverage Director, who is experienced, and dynamic. They will be responsible for all aspects of dining and wine service at Glenwild. This opportunity is for someone to provide our members with exceptional, personalized and superior customer service. Requirements: Extensive experience directing all aspects of fine dining and food and beverage services is required, to ensure quality service and standards while delivering a unique Member experience Candidates should be well versed in wine service, wine list maintenance, wine knowledge and wine sales. Recruiting, hiring and developing the Food & Beverage department Scheduling of front of the house staff Establishing training procedures and manuals Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly and professionally. Must be able to evaluate and make decisions quickly and accurately and work well in stressful, high-pressure situations. Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and all billing functions. Must create a positive and energetic work environment, with good communication, ensuring the team has current knowledge of menu offerings, services and Glenwild events. We are looking for someone dynamic, that can create memories and special dining experiences by anticipating needs, exceeding expectations and building relationships with our membership. Education and Experience: 4-year college degree preferred or industry training equivalent. At least 5 years previous experience in dining room/restaurant and banquet management in a luxury private club (preferred), resort or high-end restaurant. Strong knowledge of the following: Five Star customer service; casual, fine dining and banquet food and beverage service; advanced wine, spirits and beer knowledge, training skills; and computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and point of sale system. Wine certification or equivalent knowledge and experience. Regional wine certifications like Italy, France, Germany, Spain are a bonus. Preferred but not required - Court of Master Sommelier. Food Safety Certification and Business Council on Alcohol Education Certification (if not already acquired, will acquire upon employment) Glenwild offers an excellent compensation and benefits package to full-time employees.
