Job Title: Subject Matter Expert (C - AH)

Position Overview

This is a highly skilled individual with specialized acquisition, logistics and/or technological expertise to support MSSI.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide expert-level management consulting services in a specialized domain area

· Analyze and resolve complex organizational, operational, or contractual challenges

· Develop innovative solutions and strategies to address high-impact management issues

· Perform senior-level advisory roles equivalent to GS-13/14 or higher responsibilities

· Evaluate policies, procedures, and organizational frameworks and recommend improvements

· Support executive leadership with strategic planning, assessments, and decision-making

· Produce high-quality reports, briefings, and recommendations for senior stakeholders

· Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor within the organization

- Identify, plan, and recommend technical tasks, both engineering and logistics analysis, to ensure continued operation and maintenance of a system with managed risk

- Provide input, advice, analyses and recommendations for RAM engineering reviews, Performance Based Logistics (PBL) RAM metrics, reliability programs, design analyses, RAM improvement programs and integrated diagnostics programs

· Contribute thought leadership and best practices informed by professional recognition and experience

- Other duties as assigned

- Must adhere to the company's AS9100 and QMS policies, procedures and guidelines

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Exceptional expertise in a specialized management or functional domain

· Proven ability to solve complex problems using efficient and unique approaches

· Strong analytical, critical thinking, and strategic planning capabilities

· Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Demonstrated leadership and senior-level advisory experience

· Recognition by professional societies or peers within the field

· Ability to influence decision-making at executive and senior leadership levels

Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in engineering or technical field plus 11 years of relevant experience, or

· High School Diploma (HS) plus 15 years of defense/industrial or acquisition experience in the field.

Also considered: A Masters and 9 years of relevant experience or PhD and 7 years of relevant experience in the field.
