Senior Product Owner
to help drive high-impact initiatives across their Agile delivery teams.
This is a highly visible role where you'll sit at the intersection of business and technology, shaping product direction and ensuring teams are delivering meaningful value to end users.
Title: Senior Product Owner
Location: Chicago, IL
Setting: Hybrid, 2 days on-site
Salary: $130,000 - 150,000
What You'll Be Doing
Act as the primary link between business stakeholders and Agile teams, ensuring priorities align with overall product and organizational goals
Own and manage the product backlog, including defining user stories, setting acceptance criteria, and prioritizing work based on business value
Partner closely with Scrum Masters and engineering teams to guide delivery across 1-2 Agile teams, depending on initiative scope
Lead and actively contribute to Agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives), helping teams stay aligned and continuously improve
Break down complex initiatives into clear, incremental deliverables that can be executed efficiently
Use data, metrics, and stakeholder feedback to evaluate outcomes and refine product direction
Collaborate with Product Managers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with broader program objectives
Foster a team environment built on ownership, accountability, and continuous learning
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an Agile environment
Strong track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives
Ability to translate business needs into actionable requirements for technical teams
Comfortable working closely with both business stakeholders and engineering teams
Experience influencing priorities and driving decisions in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities
Experience in commercial insurance, particularly General Liability or related lines
Familiarity with Scaled Agile (SAFe) or similar frameworks
Preferred: Relevant certifications (CSPO, PSPO, SAFe PO/PM, etc.)
