
Business development director (EU market, Crop protection)

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Business Development Director with deep expertise in the crop protection (pesticide) industry, focused on the European Union market.
This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with a strong background in marketing, product development, and market expansion within agrochemical manufacturing companies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead business development strategy for crop protection products across the EU market
Conduct comprehensive market analysis (manufacturers, distributors, and end-users) to identify growth opportunities
Drive the development and launch of new products – from concept and market validation to positioning and commercialization
Define and implement go-to-market strategies, including channel development and partner management
Develop pricing strategies based on market dynamics, competition, and cost structure
Oversee and support product registration processes in compliance with REACH and EU regulations
Build and expand distribution and promotion channels across European markets
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Sales, and Production teams
Requirements
Proven experience in business development or marketing within a pesticide / agrochemical manufacturing company
Deep understanding of the EU crop protection market, including key players, segments, and trends
Hands-on experience in launching new agrochemical products in international markets
Strong expertise in market segmentation, product positioning, and commercialization strategies
Solid knowledge of REACH and EU regulatory frameworks for chemical products
Experience in pricing strategy and channel development
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership skills
Proficiency English, Russian or Ukrainian at least at middle level
