We rent camcorders for family and friends to film the weekend—then our team organizes the footage and edits it into a wedding video that feels true and unique to each couple's celebrations.
We're a fast-growing, creative start-up building a scalable post-production team to deliver high-quality, on-brand wedding films at volume. Since our launch this year, we've been featured in the New York Times, Vogue Weddings, Martha Stewart Weddings, and more. We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented Post-Production Specialist to craft beautiful, on-brand films and help maintain the quality standards that make every Wedding Weekender film feel personal and polished.
Role Description This is a full-time role (remote-friendly) for a Post-Production Specialist at Wedding Weekender. You'll be responsible for editing wedding films and reviewing other video outputs from brief to delivery—ensuring every film meets our creative standards for storytelling, pacing, and brand alignment.
You will work closely with the Director of Post-Production and Post-Production Coordinator, contributing both to individual edits and to the broader creative quality of the team.
Key Responsibilities Edit Review & Quality Control
Review video edits for storytelling, pacing, and brand alignment
Provide clear, actionable feedback to editors
Approve edits or request revisions as needed
Ensure consistency across all deliverables
Video Creation
Create video outputs based on client briefs
Ensure all output adheres to Wedding Weekender's brand standards
Creative Support
Uphold and enforce Wedding Weekender's creative guidelines
Identify gaps in guidelines and suggest improvements
Contribute ideas, references, and inspiration to elevate future edits
Social Support
Collaborate with the social team to develop reels and short‑form content
Tag and surface relevant clips for social use
What Success Looks Like
Outputs consistently meet quality standards before client delivery
Quality cohesion is maintained across all films and deliverables
Editors receive clear, efficient feedback and improve over time
Work is delivered on time and reflects Wedding Weekender's creative standards
Qualifications
Strong video editing background with proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Frame.io workflows
Experience in wedding videography or documentary‑style storytelling strongly preferred
Experience reviewing and providing feedback on video outputs
Strong creative judgment across pacing, storytelling, and structure
Clear and concise communicator who collaborates well with a remote team
Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑moving environment
Compensation
Competitive salary based on experience (estimated range: $50,000–$65,000 for full‑time U.S.-based candidates)
