About our client Our client is a fast-growing, private equity backed IT-Services platform pursuing an ambitious buy-and-build strategy in the IT and software services space. The company operates in a highly fragmented market and is focused on scaling through targeted acquisitions and organic growth initiatives. With a strong leadership team and committed investors, the platform offers a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment with significant value creation potential.

Thus they are looking to hire an M&A Director to take full responsibility for driving and executing the M&A strategy. The position offers high visibility with top management and investors, as well as end-to-end ownership of the transaction process. The location of the role is flexible and allows for a remote model (with some travel commitments).

What The Job Involves

Driving the development and execution of the buy-and-build strategy in close collaboration with senior leadership and investors

Identifying, evaluating, and approaching potential acquisition targets within the IT and technology services sector

Leading the full M&A process from deal sourcing through due diligence to signing and handover to integration teams

Managing cross-functional project teams and coordinating external advisors (legal, financial, tax, etc.)

Leading negotiations with entrepreneurs, founders, and senior executives

Building financial models, performing company valuations, and preparing decision materials for stakeholders

Who we are looking for

Strong academic background in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field; additional qualifications (e.g., MBA, CFA) are a plus

Proven experience in M&A, corporate development, private equity, or corporate finance with a solid track record of executing transactions (small to mid-cap)

Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex M&A projects and interact with senior stakeholders

Strong understanding of IT, software, or technology-driven business models

Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills

Analytical, structured, and hands-on working style combined with an entrepreneurial mindset

Fluent in German and English with strong communication and negotiation skills
