Position: Job Order Contracting Construction Account Manager – based in central or eastern Pennsylvania. The role delivers support, training, and service for Gordian’s Pennsylvania customers and contractors, and promotes Gordian’s products centered on Job Order Contracting (JOC) across the Commonwealth.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide direct support for Gordian’s business interests in Pennsylvania in a collaborative team setting. Prepare and maintain detailed activity schedules to accomplish procurement objectives within specified time periods for clients. Implement and adhere to established JOC procedures from project identification, scope development, proposal review, contract compliance, to notice to proceed and construction execution. Read and understand construction plans and specifications, conduct comprehensive price proposal reviews, and create detailed construction line‑item proposals. Train contractors on Gordian software, client procedures, and assist in client contract bidding. Adhere to internal company processes and status updates in support of the Regional Director and company‑wide objectives. Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and internal team members to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget. Provide observations to the Regional Director on Gordian’s Pennsylvania customers and evolving market dynamics. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field, or comparable work experience. 15+ years of construction procurement, construction management, or general contracting experience. Extensive knowledge of commercial public construction operations, pricing and contracting, including scope development and estimating/price proposal development. High‑level analytical skills, problem‑solving capabilities, and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously. Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, team‑building, flexibility, strategic thinking, goal‑driven, client‑obsessed, self‑motivated, and capable of working independently and in a group dynamic; ability to work from home responsibly. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ability to develop and generate custom tracking documents and reports. Job Order Contracting or IDIQ experience preferred; understanding of public procurement and project delivery methods required. Travel 50‑70% within the assigned geographic area.
