Job Summary As the Underwriting Manager, Private Company within our Wholesale Financial Lines division, you will work in a hybrid role based out of our Atlanta office. In this market-facing position, you will analyze and underwrite new and renewal business while working closely with wholesale brokers and clients. You will own and grow your book of business, ensuring profitable performance while delivering Everest’s products and services with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and consistency with underwriting guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Support the growth of a profitable and diversified portfolio, including D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, and Crime lines of business.

Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of underwriting authorities and guidelines.

Solicit and analyze new business opportunities aligned with underwriting guidelines while maintaining portfolio profitability.

Underwrite and execute renewals, ensuring high service standards in a cost-effective manner.

Develop and maintain strong business relationships with wholesale brokers and clients.

Assist in the development of underwriting products and marketing materials.

Collaborate and coordinate with other departments, including management, claims, and actuarial teams.

Contribute to the ongoing analysis and review of underwriting practices and procedures.

Provide support and assistance to other members of the underwriting team as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

6+ years of Financial Lines underwriting experience, with demonstrated subject‑matter expertise and strong industry relationships.

Excellent analytical and computer skills, with the ability to assess financial stability.

Knowledge of the current D&O insurance market and the wholesale broker community.

Strong negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills, along with effective interpersonal abilities.

Excellent broker relationships while delivering high-quality service.

Compliance with internal policies, external management standards, and regulatory controls.

Excellent time management and problem-solving in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Salary & Benefits Base salary range: $140,000 - $190,000 annually, based on individual education, experience, qualifications, and work location. All offers include access to health insurance coverage, a wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401(k) match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
