STGi is seeking qualified candidates for this position in connection with an active Request for Proposals (RFP). Hiring for this role is contingent upon STGi’s selection as the successful awardee.

JOB SUMMARY The Regional Finance Director (RFD) provides leadership, oversight, and operational support to business office functions across multiple long‑term care facilities within an assigned region. This role ensures accurate billing, revenue cycle integrity, regulatory compliance, and consistent implementation of company policies while supporting facility‑based Business Office Managers and leadership teams. Travel is required and is extensive throughout the assigned region.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Revenue Cycle & Financial Operations

Oversee business office operations for multiple skilled nursing and/or assisted living facilities

Ensure accurate and timely billing for Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, private pay, and ancillary services

Monitor accounts receivable, cash collections, denials, and write‑offs; implement action plans to meet financial goals

Support Medicaid eligibility, pending tracking, and recertification processes

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer requirements related to billing and reimbursement

Support audit readiness and respond to billing, financial, and regulatory audits

Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and internal controls

Leadership & Staff Development

Provide guidance, coaching, and performance management to facility Business Office Managers

Support onboarding and training of new business office staff

Identify process gaps and implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy

Reporting & Analytics

Review and analyze financial and operational reports, including AR aging, cash, and key revenue cycle metrics

Provide regular updates and recommendations to regional and corporate leadership

Partner with clinical and operational leaders to resolve reimbursement and documentation issues

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with Administrators, Regional leadership, MDS, clinical teams, and payers

Serve as a regional resource for business office questions and issue resolution

Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding billing and financial matters when needed

Required Skills Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience

Minimum 5 years of business office or revenue cycle experience in long‑term care or post‑acute care

Strong working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care billing

Proven experience managing accounts receivable and cash collections

Ability to travel regularly within assigned region

Preferred Qualifications

Prior regional or multi‑facility management experience

Experience with Medicaid eligibility and state‑specific reimbursement systems

Familiarity with long‑term care software systems (e.g., PointClickCare, MatrixCare)

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

Position primarily involves sitting, standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending/stooping, pushing and pulling (typical weight of 5 lbs. and maximum weight of 30 lbs., approximately), and lifting (minimum weight of 5 lbs. and maximum weight of 100 lbs., approximately)

Requires repetitive finger movements as well as hearing and talking on the phone and in person

Must be able to continuously deal effectively with stress created by residents, multiple tasks, noises, interruptions, and work cooperatively as part of the health care team while maintaining a pleasant attitude
