What to Expect
Our team is seeking a skilled Real Estate Asset Manager to spearhead our continued growth. Tesla’s mission is to create an environment for our high performing teams that allows them to realize their true potential. We partner with a variety of groups—design, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, sales, service, and support—approaching challenges from first principles and optimizing the space we have. This position can be based anywhere in Florida at a Tesla Sales, Service and Delivery location.
Responsibilities
Work with key business units to determine real estate needs including relocation, consolidation, expansion, sublease, and purchase; develop search criteria and potential geographies based on business needs.
Perform zoning/entitlement checks, complete zoning application requests, gather and evaluate options on economic, demographic, and market data; model qualitative and quantitative location selection criteria.
Create and compile business case justification material for executive project approval.
Collect necessary site due diligence, support development, and manage all ancillary support location site identification and transaction management.
Negotiate non‑binding LOI and work letters; negotiate lease alongside real‑estate manager and outside counsel; track critical lease dates and lease administration to ensure timely renewal or required management.
Work closely with project manager, design manager, accounting, and finance throughout the lifecycle of a facility to achieve timeline and budget goals; manage development timelines alongside construction and design partners.
Prepare lease documents for execution, manage internal programs to complete site setup; prepare site evaluation packages for executive management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
3+ years of transactional real‑estate experience across multiple product types.
Experience gathering, analyzing, and presenting demographic and financial data to executive‑level personnel.
Basic understanding of key real‑estate concepts.
Municipal planning and zoning procedures experience preferred.
Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to travel up to 20%.
