Optomi, in partnership with a premier client in the supply chain and distribution industry, is seeking Product Designers to support a growing enterprise design team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly evolving product organization focused on modernizing internal systems and building new digital experiences from the ground up. These roles will be heavily focused on discovery, research, and solving complex workflow challenges within warehouse and operational environments.
This role is primarily onsite (Monday–Thursday) with flexibility as needed and remote work on Fridays.
This is a 6 month contract with the potential/option to extend or convert.
What You Will Do
Lead discovery efforts including site visits, stakeholder interviews, and alignment sessions to define problem spaces and inform design direction
Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to drive design decisions and ensure alignment across teams
Contribute to the modernization of legacy systems (including SAP-based workflows) into scalable, user-friendly interfaces using Material Design principles
Design end-to-end experiences for both large-scale platforms (enterprise portals) and smaller mobile-based applications on Android/Zebra devices
Facilitate workshops and design sprints, helping teams prioritize work and establish clear design processes in a maturing product organization
Balance research and design execution, ensuring solutions are grounded in user needs and business impact
The Right Candidate Will Have
Strong experience in UX/Product Design within enterprise or complex system environments
Proven ability to lead both research and design, with a balanced skill set across discovery and execution
Experience modernizing legacy systems and working within established design systems (Material Design preferred)
Proficiency in Figma and experience collaborating closely with engineering teams (React-based environments a plus)
Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead workshops and influence stakeholders
Comfort operating in ambiguity and helping define processes within a growing or less mature product organization
Experience designing for internal tools, operational workflows, or supply chain environments is a plus
A strong
portfolio
that clearly demonstrates end-to-end thinking, storytelling, and measurable outcomes (not just visual design)
