Senior Product Designer

Optomi, Stamford, CT, United States

Optomi, in partnership with a premier client in the entertainment and streaming industry, is seeking a Product-Minded UX Designer for a high-impact opportunity.

This role focuses on improving internal, mission-critical applications that support live streaming events and operational workflows. The ideal candidate will help modernize legacy systems, streamline complex processes, and bring consistency across a fragmented application ecosystem. This is not a customer-facing product design role—this work centers on internal tools used by operations teams to manage live events efficiently and effectively.

This team collaborates onsite Monday-Thursday in their Stamford, CT hub (working from home on Fridays).

What You Will Do

  • Evaluate and redesign legacy internal applications to significantly reduce inefficiencies and manual workflows
  • Streamline event provisioning processes (currently requiring extensive manual input and excessive clicks)
  • Create intuitive wireframes and workflow improvements for live event management and monitoring dashboards
  • Partner closely with operations teams to understand pain points and optimize user experience
  • Help consolidate multiple siloed applications into a more unified, modular experience (tabs/modules)
  • Establish and evolve a cohesive style guide or lightweight design system leveraging existing brand guidelines
  • Improve consistency in look, feel, and usability across tools built by different teams
  • Contribute to smarter operational workflows, with exposure to AI-driven optimization initiatives

The Right Candidate Will Have

  • Experience as a UX or Product Designer with a strong product mindset
  • Proven ability to simplify complex workflows and improve operational efficiency
  • Strong wireframing and interaction design skills (Figma preferred)
  • Experience designing internal tools, dashboards, or operational systems
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating experience redesigning internal, legacy enterprise applications
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with limited direct access to engineering teams
  • Experience building or contributing to design systems or style guides
  • Background in live streaming, media, or entertainment platforms strongly preferred
  • Exposure to user research methodologies is a plus, but not required
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a team that values creativity and humor
