Position Overview This role supports the Opportunity to Order function within the Siemens DI SW Customer Business Operations. This role will apply the Opportunity to Order (O2O) understanding with specific knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of complex and varied tasks. The role will operate under limited supervision with the ability to self-manage workload. They will perform tasks independently in the areas of quote creation, order packet validation, process and tools, global policies, and tracking plus a variety of requests to support the sales process. Work with internal and external customers, therefore, must have strong written and oral communication skills. Typically requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Opportunity to Order role and experience with a variety of different sales tools. Follows established procedures on routine and complex work and requires limited supervision on standard assignments. This position reports directly to the Americas Sales Coordinator Manager.
Responsibilities Manage standard order contracts, system tools, and customer information while performing key activities such as quote-to-order process, audit compliance, and order escalations to ensure timely and accurate transactions that firmly adhere to outlined policies and process guidelines.
Engage with sales team and customers daily about quotes, BMAs, transfers, relocation, authorization codes and changes to contracts.
Records and updates customer records
Manage sales agreements.
Proficiently learn and navigate the programs/tools required to be successful in the job. These tools included but are not limited to the company CRM, Quoting and ERP systems.
Actively participates in project and process improvement initiatives, communicating progress and efficacy of initiative implementation.
Contributes to the completion of additional administrative tasks depending on the needs of the team and division.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Applications and virtual collaborative tools and practices.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a sales support role
Must be open to approximately 10% domestic travel
Will be prepared for a business professional attire environment, due to client visits onsite
This position will initially be onsite 5 days a week for the training phase, then a hybrid work model thereafter.
Practices judgement and adherence to ethical business practices, corporate policies, and functional processes.
Will have previous experience in professionally handling difficult situations with clients
Communicates collaboratively with local and global teams/colleagues and provides thoughtful feedback on ongoing operations and initiatives.
Holds a professional working proficiency in English and exhibits professional communication etiquette in written and oral exchanges.
Experience with customer data management, database referencing, contract analysis, and product portfolios.
Experience following process within a sales support environment.
Preferably has experience within a multi-national company environment.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Experience in SAP, SFDC, or another ERP tool a strong plus.
This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.
