Position Overview The Traveling Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects at various locations, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a hands‑on approach to leadership and project management, with frequent travel to job sites across the country.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of construction sites and manage project schedules.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, adherence to safety standards, and quality control.
Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost‑effective practices are followed.
Resolve any issues that arise during the construction process in a timely manner.
Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, changes, and communications.
Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, preferably with commercial projects.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to travel frequently to various job sites across the country.
Experience with ground‑up construction, particularly in gas stations, retail, oil change, quick‑service restaurants (QSR), and restaurant projects is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
