
Development Director
GiGi's Playhouse Nashville, Nashville, TN, United States
The Development Director is responsible for raising financial support from the community to fund the organization’s annual operating budget. Sources for raising community support shall include individuals, Corporations, Organizations, Foundations; Grants; Events; and Peer-to-Peer campaigns.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working at a nonprofit and have existing relationships with the philanthropic community in Williamson and Davidson County, and Middle Tennessee; and have experience with Capital and Planned Giving Campaigns. This position is a hybrid position working primarily on-site and remotely in the community as needed. Periodic nights and weekends are required.
Job Responsibilities
The ideal candidate should excel at stewarding existing donors; acquiring new donors; and enjoys building relationships with stakeholders including Playhouse participants and their families, staff, volunteers and Board of Managers. The Development Manager must enjoy working collaboratively and as a team with the Executive Director, Playhouse staff, and volunteers to achieve budgeted or stretch development goals. Responsibilities also include planning and leading Gala and Golf signature fundraising events; writing grants that reult in major gifts; securing major gifts, annual gifts, in-kind gifts, and sponsorhips from individuals, foundations, and organizations; and leading donor recognition; marketing, communication, and social media strategies necessary to conect GiGi’s mission to the community. Qualifications
Required experience includes prior experience raising $750,000 or more from an assigned portfolio of donors. A personal connection with an individual(s) with Down syndrome is preferred. Experience using Salesforce (or similar CRM); OneCause; DonorSearch; Microsoft 365. Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, profressional appearance, comfortability with public speaking. Able to pass a drug screen and background check. College Degree required. Additional Information
