Account Director

Location: Atlanta, GA | On-Site / Hybrid Possible

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Compensation: $85,000 base salary + commissions (OTE of $150,000)

About the Role We’re partnering with a building materials supplier supporting contractors, remodelers, and design professionals to hire a high-performing Account Director to build, manage, and expand strategic partnerships across a defined territory. This is a quota-carrying, full-cycle sales role responsible for self-generating leads and closing new business. This is not a role for order takers; it is designed for disciplined hunters with proven industry experience.

In this role, you will identify, engage, and grow relationships with contractors, renovators, builders, and design consultants, positioning the company as their preferred supplier for doors, with additional cross-sell opportunities in related product categories. You will own relationships from first contact through long-term account growth while driving consistent, repeatable revenue in your region.

Location Requirement Candidates must reside in North Metro Atlanta or North Georgia, including the following areas:

Fulton County (North): Alpharetta, Roswell, Johns Creek, Milton, Sandy Springs

Cherokee County: Canton, Woodstock, Holly Springs, Waleska

Forsyth County: Cumming

North Georgia / Surrounding Areas: Pickens County (Ellijay) and nearby areas within Pickens and Gilmer counties

Key Responsibilities

Proactively hunt for net-new partners within your assigned territory and build a sustainable pipeline

Execute consistent outbound activity, including calls, emails, follow-ups, and structured outreach cadences

Lead discovery conversations with intelligent, consultative questions to uncover project needs and buying drivers

Confidently handle objections related to pricing, lead times, specifications, and competitive alternatives

Close and expand accounts through repeat business, upsells, cross-selling, and long-term relationship management

Own the full sales cycle from first contact through close and ongoing account development

Maintain a clean, accurate, and up-to-date pipeline in Monday.com with disciplined follow-up

Collaborate closely with warehouse, operations, and support teams to ensure accurate fulfillment and high partner satisfaction

Develop deep product, specification, and application knowledge through hands‑on learning and field exposure

Participate in occasional face‑to‑face meetings to strengthen key partner relationships and drive account expansion

Performance Expectations & KPIs

Monthly net-new partner acquisition targets within the assigned territory

Daily and weekly outbound activity standards (calls, touches, follow-ups)Monthly and quarterly revenue targets tied to account activation and growth

Pipeline coverage, opportunity progression, and close‑rate expectations

Ongoing account engagement to retain, expand, and deepen partner relationships

Qualifications

3+ years of sales experience specifically in doors, building materials, or closely related construction products

Proven success in a quota‑carrying, outbound, full‑cycle sales or account management role

Experience selling to contractors, builders, remodelers, or design professionals

Demonstrated ability to prospect, manage objections, and close new business consistently
