Overview Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Consultant to support a fair, consistent, and legally compliant workplace while fostering strong relationships between employees, leaders, and the organization. In this role, you will lead complex employee relations matters, provide expert guidance to managers, and support the development and implementation of policies and practices that promote an engaged, productive, and inclusive work environment. This position requires a trusted professional who brings sound judgment, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to cultivating a positive employee experience.

How Will You Make An Impact & Requirements

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

Develop, interpret, and implement employee relations policies, procedures, and best practices

Provide expert consultation to managers and employees on ER issues, performance concerns, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation

Conduct thorough, timely, and objective investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and workplace concerns

Monitor ER trends and partner with leadership to recommend proactive strategies that reduce risk and improve workplace culture

Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Compliance partners to ensure alignment with employment laws, regulations, and organizational standards

Support leaders in administering corrective action, performance improvement plans, and other accountability processes

Administer and support Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action (AA) programs

Analyze ER data, including exit interviews, case trends, and engagement insights to identify themes and recommend organizational improvements

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure confidentiality in all ER matters

Perform other related duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

Experience in conflict resolution, mediation, and coaching leaders through complex situations

Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations

Experience developing and implementing HR or ER policies and procedures

Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and critical‑thinking skills

Proficiency with G‑Suite (preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, or similar tools

SHRM‑CP/SCP or HRCI PHR/SPHR certification preferred

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience

Proven experience in Employee Relations or a related HR specialty

Work Environment & Travel Requirements This role follows a semi‑hybrid work model. While the position is primarily remote/office‑based, it requires

up to 25–30% in‑state travel

to support investigations, leader coaching, onsite meetings, and other employee‑relations activities that benefit from in‑person engagement. Candidates must be able to travel within the state as needed to meet business and operational requirements.
