Salary Range $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 dependent on experience.

Position Summary As an Assistant Service Manager, you’ll play a critical role in overseeing the customer service experience from scheduling appointments through to final billing. You’ll also be responsible for managing a team of skilled technicians, ensuring productivity, quality of work, and effective communication across departments. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and a customer‑focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full service cycle: appointment setting, work order preparation, and final invoicing

Supervise, support, and motivate a team of technicians to meet productivity and quality goals

Monitor technician performance, assign jobs based on skill level, and ensure efficient workflow

Build and maintain strong customer relationships through clear communication and follow‑up

Assist customers in identifying service needs and offer appropriate solutions

Prepare accurate service estimates and obtain necessary approvals

Promote available products and services

Ensure work is completed to customer satisfaction and follow up as needed

Drive service department efficiency and actively identify upsell opportunities

Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Collaborate with internal departments to support overall dealership success

Requirements

2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role (preferred)

Previous experience managing or working closely with service technicians is highly preferred

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Professional appearance and demeanor

High level of motivation, integrity, and a strong work ethic

Ability to lead by example and foster a positive team culture
