Remote Principal Data Strategy & Pre-Sales Architect

YOU ARE A Principal Data & Analytics Consulting Leader who drives data driven transformation across complex organizations. You enable clients to unify, govern, and unlock the full value of their data, fueling smarter operations, innovation, and sustainable digital transformation. YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES 8+ years in data engineering, data architecture, or data & analytics consulting, including 5+ years in leadership or principal roles Extensive experience working with clients in the energy and utilities sector (preferred), or in the manufacturing and/or pharmaceutical sectors (an advantage) Designing and governing enterprise grade data platforms (Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake) Expertise in modern data architectures, including lakehouse, real time data processing, data governance, and AI/ML enablement Hands on experience with Data Mesh, encompassing domain oriented ownership, self service data infrastructure, federated governance, and the organizational change management required for successful adoption Leading presales engagements, client workshops, and executive briefings, translating data strategy into tangible business value Fluent in German and English, with strong client facing communication and stakeholder management skills NICE TO HAVE Experience with industry specific challenges such as energy grid modernization, smart metering, asset performance management, or energy trading Knowledge of digital twins and IoT data integration in industrial environments Relevant certifications (Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, TOGAF, CDMP, or similar) YOU WANT TO WORK WITH Leading clients across the energy, utilities, manufacturing, and/or pharma sectors in the DACH region SoftServe’s global Big Data & Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE) and regional sales, client success & delivery teams A team of top tier subject matter experts, architects, and consultants World leading clients and strategic technology partners TOGETHER WE WILL Advise clients on modern data architectures, Data Mesh adoption, and compliance frameworks tailored to industrial and energy environments Define and execute enterprise data strategies, guiding clients end to end, from governance and platform design to AI/ML enablement Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to identify opportunities and elevate SoftServe’s strategic positioning Engage with our partner ecosystem in joint go to market initiatives Continuously monitor the Data & Analytics landscape to bring cutting edge innovations to our clients YOUR BENEFITS Be part of a fast growing DACH region, shaping impactful projects and strategic initiatives Access to continuous learning and development opportunities, including world class training Flexible remote work within Germany, with offices in Frankfurt, Munich, and Berlin Opportunities to attend and speak at national and international events Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and strong career growth opportunities Please note: Fluent German language skills are mandatory for this position.
