Territory Sales Manager

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Territory Manager to oversee and grow a multi-state region within the industrial electrical solutions market. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening long-term customer partnerships through strategic account management and proactive business development. Operating from a home-based office, the Territory Manager will lead regional sales efforts, identify new opportunities, and deliver technical solutions that support customer success and overall profitability.

Candidates must currently reside in Ohio, Pennsylvania, or Michigan due to business and territory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver on revenue goals, margin expectations, and overall territory growth objectives while increasing market penetration.

Build, maintain, and expand long-term relationships with existing customers to support retention and upselling efforts.

Identify and pursue new accounts through networking, prospecting, and proactive outreach strategies.

Evaluate customer operations, gather technical data, and provide preliminary analysis to support tailored solutions.

Assist with product testing, troubleshooting, and interpretation of technical drawings or specifications as needed.

Prepare and respond to pricing requests, quotes, and contract documentation within defined deadlines.

Maintain accurate tracking of pipeline activity, leads, and opportunities within CRM systems.

Collaborate cross-functionally with customer support, engineering, operations, and leadership teams to ensure seamless execution.

Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory to support customers, attend trade events, and grow brand presence.

Provide guidance to independent sales representatives within the territory when applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical outside sales, preferably within industrial or electrical equipment markets.

Experience working with OEM customers is strongly preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM platforms; ERP system experience is a plus.

Strong ability to interpret technical documents, drawings, and product specifications.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently with strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
