
Real Estate Paralegal

About the Company
A well-established, innovative law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join its commercial real estate and land use practice.
About the Role This is a full-time position offering a primarily remote work arrangement, with only occasional visits required to the San Francisco area. Only candidates meeting the residency requirement in California, Colorado, or Texas will be considered.
Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end paralegal process for commercial real estate transactions (including title/survey review, lease summaries, due diligence, closings, UCC filings, and transaction documentation)
Analyze complex title and survey issues and negotiate revisions as necessary
Draft transaction documents, closings instructions, and deal checklists
Coordinate closing logistics with external parties
Track key transactional milestones and maintain detailed project timelines
Assist with entity formation, structuring, and compliance documentation
Participate in finance-related transactional tasks (incl. loan documentation, UCC/title work)
Mentor team members as needed
Support occasional zoning and land use assignments
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required; ABA-approved (or equivalent) Paralegal certificate needed
Required Skills
Proven punctuality and reliability
Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and legal database tools
Excellent organization, attention to detail, and communication skills
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects
Preferred Skills
5+ years of real estate paralegal experience
Substantial research and title review background
Local land use and zoning code compliance, including due diligence research
Familiarity with California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance
Exposure to real estate litigation
Experience supporting clients from initial property/development research through acquisition, entitlement, and litigation
Bonus Experience: Corporate formation, qualification, and compliance
Environmental compliance (air, water, hazardous waste)
Experience with formation of acquisition entities
Pay range and compensation package The anticipated compensation range is $110,000 to $160,000, depending on experience, education, and location. This firm also offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings plans.
