Job Overview The Director, Project & Program Delivery is accountable for end-to-end execution of all Akytech projects and programs across federal customers, including DoD and civilian agencies. This role leads and scales the company’s delivery organization, ensuring consistent, high-quality performance that exceeds customer expectations, protects CPARS ratings, and supports long-term growth. This leader oversees Project Managers and Program Managers, establishes disciplined delivery standards, and drives operational rigor across 10–12 concurrent projects. The role is designed to scale into a Director-level position as Akytech grows its contract portfolio.

Key Responsibilities Delivery Leadership & Execution

Own delivery execution across all active projects and programs, ensuring scope, schedule, quality, and performance commitments are met or exceeded.

Establish and enforce standardized delivery practices, project controls, and execution cadence across the organization.

Ensure smooth transitions for new contract awards, including staffing, onboarding, knowledge transfer, and startup execution.

Act as the senior escalation point for delivery risks, issues, and corrective actions.

Customer Satisfaction & CPARS Protection

Ensure consistent, high-quality customer engagement and responsiveness across all contracts.

Proactively manage performance to protect and improve CPARS ratings.

Partner with Program Managers to address customer concerns before they escalated.

Support customer reviews, performance assessments, and formal evaluations.

People Leadership & Accountability

Directly manage Project Managers and Program Managers; set clear expectations, goals, and accountability.

Hire, develop, coach, and, when necessary, remove delivery staff to maintain high standards.

Build a strong delivery bench capable of supporting current and future growth.

Create a culture of ownership, discipline, and continuous improvement across the delivery team.

Operational Excellence & Scalability

Design and mature Akytech’s delivery framework to support growth across multiple agencies and contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost-Plus).

Standardize project reporting, metrics, and executive dashboards to provide leadership with clear visibility into delivery health.

Drive consistency in project planning, risk management, issue tracking, and corrective action processes.

Ensure delivery practices align with corporate quality, compliance, and governance standards.

Executive & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Provide regular delivery status briefings to executive leadership, highlighting risks, trends, and improvement actions.

Partner with BD, capture, and transition teams to ensure delivery readiness for new awards and recompetes.

Support organizational growth by institutionalizing delivery best practices that scale with the company.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in federal project and program delivery, with increasing leadership responsibility.

Proven experience overseeing 10–12 concurrent projects or programs in mid-sized to large organizations.

Strong background delivering work for DoD and civilian federal agencies.

Demonstrated success building, scaling, and leading project/program management teams.

Deep understanding of federal contract execution across FFP, T&M, and Cost-Plus environments.

Strong leadership presence with the authority and confidence to drive accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP, PgMP, or similar project/program management certification.

Experience improving delivery maturity, standardization, and operational rigor in a growing organization.

Prior experience protecting and improving CPARS ratings.

Familiarity with federal delivery governance, quality management, and compliance frameworks.

Improved customer satisfaction and CPARS outcomes across contracts.

Project Managers and Program Managers performing with clear accountability and minimal executive intervention.

Delivery capability scaled to support continued growth without degradation in quality or performance.
