Description of Work The Associate Director of Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) programs oversees the coordination of operations and activities in the delivery of health care services across HCBS program areas. This position plays a key role in developing strategy, aligning overall goals and objectives, managing program areas, and contributing to the critical decisions around the future of these programs. This Associate Director role is a direct report to the LTSS Deputy Director working closely with all members of leadership, employees, and key stakeholders both internal and external to Division of Health Benefits (DHB).

Work Schedule Position is eligible for a hybrid-teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours.

Salary and Recruitment Ranges Salary Grade Range: $70,478 - $123,336

Recruitment Range: $70,478 - $102,112

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities / Management Preferences

Experience monitoring compliance with federal and state HCBS waiver requirements, audit readiness, quality assurance, and corrective action plans.

Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain compliance metrics while delivering quality outcomes.

Possess proven organizational, time management and interpersonal and communication skills.

Skilled in contract management and vendor performance. Successful oversight of complex budgets, oversight of grant administration and outcomes data that can be translated and shared in support of the goals of the division.

Strategic stakeholder engagement and coalition building including skill in articulating the mission and mandate of the division at many levels.

Physical Requirements

Able to occasionally travel within the community.

Able to sit, stand, walk, and use computer and phone for extended periods.

Master's degree in a discipline specific to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in the area of assignment, including two years in a supervisory or consultative capacity; or

Bachelor's degree in a discipline specific to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and six years of experience in the area of assignment, including two years in a supervisory or consultative capacity; or

an equivalent combination of education and experience.
