Role Responsabilities: The Sales & BDM Manager is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth of the Ceramic Business Unit across the European region. This role leads the development and execution of regional marketing and sales strategies, manages key customer and distributor relationships, coordinates with other business units, and ensures alignment with global and regional growth objectives. The Sales & BDM Manager will also gather and analyze market intelligence to support strategic decision-making and reporting.
Develops and executes a regional growth strategy for the Ceramic Business Unit in Europe, aligned with the Company’s revenue goals and long‑term profitability objectives.
Builds and nurtures strong relationships with key customers and distributors, engaging decision-makers across functions (engineering, purchasing, quality, operations) to support long‑term customer satisfaction and retention.
Understands customer strategies, decision‑making processes, and market dynamics to proactively close new business opportunities.
Identifies new market opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive threats using internal insights and external market data.
Gathers market intelligence and conducts ongoing analysis of the European ceramic market, including competitor activity, customer needs, and technological developments.
Coordinates closely with sales leaders and key account managers from other Business Units and regions to deliver the best customer solutions and ensure commercial alignment.
Responds to RFQs with a focus on value‑based proposals, ensuring balance between customer needs, production feasibility, and profitability.
Leads commercial negotiations and manages pricing actions in line with the Company’s revenue management strategy.
Develops and expands the distributor network across the EU region to accelerate market access and service responsiveness.
Collaborates cross‑functionally with supply chain, R&D, operations, and executive leadership to support strategic decision‑making and execution.
Contributes to the Ceramic BU’s input to the EU Annual Business Plan and Mid‑Term Plan, representing regional perspectives and opportunities.
Prepares and delivers regular performance updates and insights to senior management, including progress on growth targets, challenges, and key initiatives.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline. MBA preferred.
8–15 years of sales experience within the chemical materials industry, serving sectors such as automotive, industrial machinery, wind energy, semiconductor manufacturing, healthcare, OEM, and plastics.
Proven track record of growing sales and expanding markets through organic and targeted initiatives.
Experience with new product introductions, technical component launches, and customer quality programs (e.g., PPAP).
Ideally based in Germany or France, Willingness to travel throughout Europe and to international sites as required.
Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).
Able to analyze technical publications, financial reports, and complex business documents.
Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
