Client Partner, Retail | Data & AI | Seattle

JMR Global | Executive Search, Seattle, WA, United States

You built a $40M retail practice at a major SI. Or you took one Costco-sized account from zero and turned it into an eight-figure anchor. Either way, you did it once. You know you can do it again. This is that chance. A US-listed data and AI services firm is building its retail practice in Seattle from a small, live base of strategic accounts. The brief is clear: land with depth, earn trust, expand into multi-year AI transformation programs. Think demand forecasting, supply chain intelligence, data platform modernisation, agentic commerce. Genuinely interesting work with retailers who are ready to move. The infrastructure exists. Informatica AI partnership. Data engineering capability. $30M+ cash, zero debt. What's missing is a Client Partner who understands how a CIO or Chief Merchandising Officer thinks, and can translate that into a six-figure engagement that grows into an eight-figure relationship. This role is built for you if:

You've grown a single retail account from sub-$5M to $15M+. Not a portfolio of accounts, one account. That's the benchmark. You've sold Data and AI consulting to retail executives in the last three years and you can talk Snowflake, Informatica, Databricks, and Azure without Googling them. You come from Cognizant, Fractal, GSPANN, EPAM, or similar. You know how a large SI works, you know what it can't do, and you're ready to do the job without 40 layers of approvals above you. You're a natural in a room. Unscripted, direct, commercially sharp. Executive buyers trust you because you don't oversell. What you should know about the structure:

Base is $200K. Bonus is 30% annually, not quarterly commissions. This is intentional. The company is building for depth, not volume. If your model depends on frequent commission hits to feel successful, this probably isn't the right fit. If you value ownership, stability, and the chance to build something you're proud of, the conversation is worth having. Seattle-based. Hybrid.
