The role sits at the home office level with strong visibility across the business, combining strategic oversight with collaboration and travel, focused on guiding underwriting decisions, monitoring portfolio performance, and driving growth across the commercial surety platform.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee underwriting operations and portfolio performance, including risk quality, volume, and profitability
Develop and execute underwriting strategy while enhancing workflows, guidelines, and overall efficiency
Lead and develop a small team of underwriters, while partnering with senior leadership to drive growth and performance
Qualifications
10+ years of commercial or contract surety underwriting experience
3+ years of management or team leadership experience
