Responsibilities
Client Interaction: As a trusted advisor, harvest requirements from the client and translate these into a solution that meets objectives and principles agreed with the client. Lead the technology aspect of a pursuit team, leveraging technical knowledge, experience and EY’s SAP technology capabilities. Serve as a technical leader and liaison among business partners, delivery leadership and pursuit stakeholders.
Pursuit shaping: Provide guidance for the solution and pursuit definition, presales thought leadership, and assess technical delivery possibilities and costs for top critical business solution implementations based on EY technology products, tools and processes.
Technology Presales development: Work with Product Owners, Business Owners, EY SAP Delivery Teams and Global Delivery Services. Envision, design and develop pursuit design and response with a broad focus on EY’s SAP delivery and technology capabilities for enterprise, industry, platform and solutions. Address technology gaps via established channels such as Innovation and product capabilities.
Presales / Pursuit Architecture & Solutioning for mid to large scale pursuits.
Provide thought leadership during deal development, pursuit & close phases, with deep understanding of SAP Technology and EY’s SAP drivers, products, tools & processes.
Shape RFP responses and bring incisive insights from technology experience; identify opportunities to reduce costs and bring efficiencies.
Ensure solutions align with architecture standards, including current and target architectures, and collaborate with technology product teams to influence backlogs and priorities.
Maintain relationships with delivery and competence center teams to ensure implemented solutions follow approved designs throughout the application life cycle.
Interact with stakeholders on presales issues and strategic improvements; coach business owners and pursuit leads on technology presales during the pursuit lifecycle.
Document pursuit architecture and technology roadmaps using standard templates and tools; address issues and risks proactively and seek input for any deviations that require step-out approvals.
Collaborate with Technology Product Teams and contribute to the Presales community; onboard new Technology Presales Architects as needed.
Qualifications
Knowledge of industry solutions/products.
Strong technical background with experience in deal development, architecture & strategy or related to technology startups.
Experience on large-scale multi-technology, data and analytics deals.
Technology all-round expertise – Applications, Infrastructure, Digital, Security.
Experience in technical/data/application/integration architecture.
Proven ability to respond to RFPs and shape client proposals; expertise in solution write-ups and client presentations.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, with ability to interact with a global audience.
Strong business acumen with ability to develop strategic customer relationships and demonstrate technical leadership.
Ability to identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies; awareness of portfolio management principles, tools and techniques.
Organized, methodical and able to manage uncertainty and risk; detail-oriented and rigorous.
Leadership and negotiation skills, with ability to drive change through influence and networking.
Ideally, experience as an individual contributor with influence without authority; offshore/onsite working model experience across geographies and cultures.
Certifications in Agile Delivery and DevOps are desirable; TOGAF or IASA is desirable; ITIL V3/V4 knowledge is an added advantage.
Travel willingness; BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; 15+ years of technology, business development and thought leadership experience.
What We Offer You The compensation ranges below are provided to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow local salary guidelines. Comprehensive compensation and benefits package; base salary ranges in the US: $138,200 to $266,000. NYC Metro/Washington State/California ranges: $165,800 to $302,300. Salaries determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. Total Rewards includes medical/dental, pension and 401(k), and paid time off.
Hybrid model: most client-serving roles are in-person 40-60% of the time over a project or engagement.
