and is seeking to expand its geographic presence. The firm is hiring a
Managing Director
to help grow relationships with banks, specialty lenders, and institutional investors while originating and executing loan portfolio advisory assignments.
This is a
highly entrepreneurial opportunity
with significant upside tied to transaction origination and execution.
Key Responsibilities Business Development Develop and expand relationships with banks, credit funds, and other financial institutions that may be sellers of loan portfolios.
Transaction Origination Source loan portfolio sale opportunities including performing, sub‑performing, and distressed loan portfolios.
Client Relationship Management Maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, special assets groups, and institutional loan buyers.
Portfolio Analysis & Valuation Assist in the underwriting, pricing, and structuring of loan portfolio transactions.
Marketing & Execution Work with the Clark Street team to prepare marketing materials, manage investor outreach, and execute transaction processes.
Due Diligence Coordination Help oversee diligence processes between sellers and investors, including loan tape review, data room management, and investor Q&A.
Investor Outreach Engage with institutional investors, private credit funds, and special situations investors to drive competitive bidding for portfolio sales.
Qualifications 3–15 years of relevant experience
in one or more of the following areas:
Loan portfolio sales or acquisitions
Commercial real estate lending
Special assets / loan workouts
Debt advisory or structured finance
Private credit or special situations investing
Strong financial and analytical skills, including experience analyzing
loan portfolios and loan‑level data tapes .
Advanced
Excel
skills and experience underwriting commercial real estate loans or credit portfolios.
Experience marketing or evaluating
loan portfolios or credit assets .
Existing relationships with
banks, lenders, or institutional credit investors
strongly preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage complex transactions.
