Senior State & Local Tax Consultant
Remote - Work from Home
We're looking for an experienced Senior State & Local Tax Consultant to join our growing tax advisory team. In this role, you'll lead sales and use tax projects, deliver high-quality client guidance, and tackle complex state and local tax issues with confidence. You'll manage engagements from start to finish, analyze tax positions, and communicate clear, actionable recommendations to a diverse client base.
What You'll Do
Lead sales and use tax compliance, planning, and consulting engagements
Research state and local tax laws and prepare technical analyses and reports
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop integrated tax solutions
Support business development through proposals and thought leadership
Mentor junior staff and promote best practices across the team
What You Bring
Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree a plus
3‑5+ years of sales and use tax or related consulting experience
Strong technical research skills and knowledge of state and local tax laws
Excellent communication, analytical, and project management abilities
Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary ($90,000‑$113,000), performance bonuses, comprehensive benefits, retirement plan with match, generous PTO, professional development, and full remote flexibility.
