Overview

The Summer 2026 Intern, Graphic Design (Social Media) is a paid opportunity based in New York, NY, with a hybrid schedule and in-office experience about 3 days per week. Our intern program blends hands-on contribution with classroom learnings. Interns will work with a specific division while having opportunities to learn about other areas through lunch-and-learn sessions during the semester. Interns are responsible for their own transportation and housing needs. Program dates: Monday, June 1, 2026 through Thursday, August 20, 2026. Office hours are typically 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET, Monday–Friday, or as agreed with the advisor. Responsibilities

Assist the Social Media team in designing graphics for Excel’s social channels. Assist in versioning out template-based content. Assist in developing creative concepts for social media initiatives. Learn the design process for content to be published (including approval workflows). Develop skills to design content specifically for social media and maintain brand consistency across channels. Collaborate with the Excel team for industry advice and learnings. May be assigned projects outside the Social Media/Communications group to gain broader exposure. Qualifications

Proficiency and experience in Adobe Photoshop are required. Must provide a creative portfolio. High attention to detail and consistency. Seeking to learn and apply concepts related to CARE: consistency, authenticity, relevance, and engagement. Program Details

Position is not eligible for sponsorship. Education level options: current undergraduate with senior standing (completed junior year) OR enrolled in graduate school OR bachelor’s/postgraduate degree. Pay: $17.00 per hour. This is in line with salary transparency guidelines. EEO & Application Notes
