Part-Time Lead Generation Specialist for Research Enterprise

Position Overview Penn State’s Research Enterprise seeks a dynamic and motivated Lead Generation Specialist to support our early-stage lead generation and nurturing activities. This role focuses on nurturing leads that arise from the strategic marketing of the OSVPR Business Development MarComm office and helping transition them to the appropriate stakeholder units for further engagement. The specialist will collaborate with team members who track lead progress in HubSpot, ensuring accurate and timely updates across the business development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively nurture potential leads for commercialization opportunities, research partnerships, and sponsorships through various channels.
Help develop and execute marketing strategies to engage potential leads and prepare initial marketing materials tailored to different audiences.
Collaborate with various teams to understand their projects and potential commercialization aspects, and regularly report on lead generation progress.
Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma (and enrolled in college, in Business Major) or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
1–2 years of contact list management, lead generation, nurturing, sales, or marketing experience, preferably in higher education, research, or technology-driven environments.
Key Skills
Understanding of lead generation and nurturing techniques and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with HubSpot or other CRM software.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge of the research and technology transfer landscape is a plus.
Hours:
Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.
